Our Grimké Seminary students are on their much-needed break for the summer, even while our Grimké College students work through their self-paced, on-demand coursework. But here at Sola Ecclesia, we’re still publishing weekly content for our students, alumni, their congregations, and our broader reading audience.
I will get to a list of articles you may have missed, but first, I want to run our first reader poll. Some of our readers have said that they’d like a weekly email that provides a brief overview of what we publish each week. We all have those emails we get too often. I don’t want Updates from Sola Ecclesia to become that. At the same time, I’m happy to send more updates your way if you don’t want to miss a thing we publish. So let me know you’re preference.

Parting Quote
In studying the psalms we get a pretty good idea of what prayer is. It is talking to God; telling him all about ourselves, our cares, our anxieties, our troubles, vexations, disappointments, in a word, unbosoming ourselves to him as we would to a confidential friend. We not only learn what prayer is, but also the comforting assurance that God wants us to come to him, wants us to confide in him, to roll our burdens upon him. We need never hesitate therefore about going to him at all times and under all circumstances. —Francis J. Grimké
